Bucket Ladder Dredger "PILGRIM"
A bucket ladder dredger is a stationary mechanical vessel equipped with a continuous chain of buckets mounted on a ladder structure. Anchored in position, it operates by rotating around a bow anchor while excavating material from the seabed. The dredged material is lifted by the bucket chain and discharged into barges via a chute, ensuring efficient and continuous dredging operations.
Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger "HEGEMANN IV"
The trailing suction hopper dredger HEGEMANN IV has a volume of 2300 m³. The vessel functions as a split hopper, hydraulic butterfly valves open and close the two halves to discharge spoil.
The process allows the HEGEMANN IV to dump dredged material even in very shallow waters. The two dredge pumps can also discharge the dredged material (sand) up to a distance of 2 km.
